ICSG researcher one of five Irish researchers selected to attend Canadian Summer School on Ageing

Aoife Callan of the Irish Centre for Social Gerontology has been selected as one of the five researchers. The researchers will attend the prestigious training school, hosted by the Simon Fraser University - Gerontology Research Centre from 6 - 11 May 2012 that will focus on the theme of ageing and technology. CARDI has sponsored these researchers in association with the Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR) - Institute of Aging
Dr Roger O’Sullivan, Director of CARDI said,“CARDI is delighted to be providing this exciting opportunity to learn new skills and knowledge to the successful applicants. The summer school promises to be an excellent event allowing the researchers from  Ireland to meet and network with Canadian researchers. They will also benefit from presentations from leaders in the fields of technology and innovation in gerontology enabling them to bring back some of the very latest perspectives on meeting the challenge of ageing populations.”
